cost = distance × consumption / 100 × price
How to work out a trip’s cost
Cost is distance times consumption per 100 km, divided by 100 and multiplied by the price per litre. A 420 km trip in a car using 6.5 l/100 km at 6.20 per litre costs about 169. Remember to add tolls.
