Parametric and polar curves
A parametric curve gives both coordinates as functions of a parameter t; a circle, for example, is x = cos t, y = sin t. In polar form you give the distance from the centre r as a function of the angle θ; a cardioid is r = 1 + cos θ and a rose is r = cos(3θ). Both axes use the same scale, so circles look like circles.
Inequalities
The tool finds every x in the range where the inequality holds and shows it as a union of intervals. On the graph, solutions are shaded with vertical bands. Example: x² − 4 > 0 gives x < −2 or x > 2.
Common questions
How do I type θ?
Type t or θ. Angles are in radians; a full turn is 2π.
